Manual data import

There are several ways to manually import research data to Condens.

Take notes in Condens

You can take notes directly in Condens, for example

  • in the Project description

  • in the notes section or transcript of a Session

  • in the Artifact

There are various formatting options and you can take notes with others in real-time.

Copy & paste text

If you already have some text in another tool and you want to bring it to Condens, just use copy and paste. The formatting will be kept so you can continue working uninterruptedly.

Upload files

To import recordings, images or PDFs drag the file from your computer and drop it to Condens, for example

  • in the Project description

  • in the notes section or transcript of a Session

  • in the Artifact

If you upload an audio or video recording to a Session you can structure it with tags, create media clips and get an automatically generated transcript.

If you upload a PDF or PowerPoint file in a text section it will be displayed and is fully searchable. That's ideal for importing files from past studies.

Bulk-Import Sessions from spreadsheets and CSV-files

When you have structured research data from a survey or structured interview already available, you can bulk-import this data and create multiple Sessions at once.

We support bulk-importing for CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets files. Read here, how to import spreadsheets and CSV files as multiple Sessions.
