- The main differences are customization, AI features, security, and support. Condens Business includes five contributors, unlimited viewers, AI search, security assessments, and data migration. SSO and HIPAA support are available as add-ons. Condens Enterprise includes SSO and HIPAA support by default, plus advanced anonymization and redaction, user groups, the Condens API, custom MCP connections, tailored terms and SLAs, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager.
- No, Condens Business and Enterprise include unlimited free viewer accounts, so stakeholders like product managers, designers, and executives can access shared research without a paid seat. Only contributors, the people who conduct research in Condens, need a paid seat. Admins who also do research count as contributors. Non-research admins who don’t do research, and viewers, are free.
- No, every Condens plan includes unlimited projects, file storage, and transcription hours, so your price doesn’t go up as your research repository grows. The total cost depends on your plan, the number of contributors, and any add-ons you choose.
- Yes, you can add contributors to any Condens plan without upgrading. The price per additional seat depends on your plan. You can also reassign seats as team members join or leave projects.
- Yes, Condens Business and Enterprise include data migration from Dovetail and other research tools at no additional cost. We can migrate a test project first, so you can review the results before moving the rest of your research into Condens.
- Yes. Condens offers a 15-day free trial (opens in new tab) with no credit card required. You can explore the product with sample data or upload your own research. If you need help, book a personal walkthrough anytime; if you need more time, just reach out. After the trial, you can choose a paid plan or keep your workspace in read-only mode.
- Condens accepts credit cards and bank transfers. Credit card payment is available on all plans, and you receive an invoice by email after each payment. Bank transfer is available for annual Business and Enterprise plans. If someone from finance or IT handles the purchase, you can invite them as a non-research admin at no extra seat cost.
- Yes, Condens offers a free education plan for students and teachers, and a discount for verified nonprofit organizations.
