Ask Your Repository in Slack and Teams

June 10, 2025

Research doesn't always make it into the conversation, and it's rarely because it isn't valuable. Often, it's simply not easy to access within the tools where teams are already making decisions. Stakeholders might not know where to look, may not have time to search through a repository, or perhaps research feels out of reach in the middle of fast-moving discussions.

With Magazine AI Search directly in Slack and Microsoft Teams, anyone can get instant, trusted answers based on your published research findings. Let's dive into the Condens June product updates!

Bring customer insights into the conversation, instantly

Ever found your team in a rapid Slack or Teams discussion, asking "What did users say about this?" or "Have we researched that feature?" Often, the answer exists, readily available in your repository, but getting those insights into the conversation can mean a frustrating pause, a search, or waiting for a researcher to step in. This common gap costs valuable momentum and can lead to decisions being made without having the full picture.

This is exactly where Magazine AI Search in Slack and Teams comes in. By extending the Condens Insights Magazine directly into the places where collaboration naturally happens, we're helping researchers bring validated insights to every conversation. This makes it easier for stakeholders to ask questions, find answers, and seamlessly integrate research into their everyday work, without the digging or delays.

This feature is included in the Enterprise plan, and available as an add-on in the Business plan.

How Magazine AI Search Works

Once you connect an Insights Magazine to a Slack or public Microsoft Teams channel, anyone in that channel can ask a question in plain language.

  • In Slack, mention @Condens in a channel to ask publicly (Condens will respond in a thread visible to all channel members), or use the /condens command for a private response only you can see.

  • In Teams, type in @Condens ask, followed by your question.

Magazine AI Search will then return an answer based on the validated, published findings from your Insights Magazine. Crucially, every answer always includes a link to the original source for full context and transparency.

This means stakeholders don't need to search manually, and researchers don't need to step in and re-share findings. Your team can simply ask questions where they're already working, integrating insights effortlessly into their workflow.

In everyday team conversations, this helps different roles access insights exactly when they need them:

  • Product Discussions: A Product Manager might be exploring improvements to the onboarding flow. In the middle of a Slack conversation, they can simply ask: "What pain points have users mentioned during onboarding?" Magazine AI Search surfaces key findings published in your Insights Magazine, helping the team prioritize improvements with evidence in hand.

  • Customer Success Prep: Before a renewal meeting, a Customer Success Manager in Teams could ask: "Why do customers typically churn after 6 months?" The AI instantly returns relevant insights from past churn-related research, giving the CSM valuable context before the call.

  • Design Reviews: During a design critique, a designer might wonder: "How have users responded to the current navigation?" Magazine AI Search brings validated feedback directly into the conversation, informing design decisions in real time.

  • Leadership & Strategy: In a leadership Slack channel, someone could ask: "What does recent research say about our pricing model?" Instead of relying on anecdotal opinions, the team gets a grounded, evidence-based answer, driving more informed strategic decisions.

The results are always based exclusively on validated, published findings from your Insights Magazine, ensuring reliability. For researchers, it builds on what's already done, meaning there's no need to prepare anything extra as it leverages your curated and validated work.

The best part? Stakeholders who don't have a Condens license can also ask questions in connected channels, making it easier for everyone to engage with research.

You have the flexibility to connect multiple Magazines to different channels. For example, you might have specific channels for #product-insights, #customer-feedback, #growth, #leadership, or #competitors. What else is new

In addition to the new Magazine AI Search directly within Slack and Microsoft Teams, we have rebuilt our Microsoft Teams integration from the ground up. The new version brings powerful capabilities directly into daily conversations, including automatic sharing of published Artifacts and rich previews for any shared Condens link.

Magazine AI Search in Slack and Teams is a key part of our broader Ask your Repository initiative. This is a family of AI-powered features designed to help you make research more accessible, usable, and trusted across your entire organization.

From the AI Search capabilities already in your Insights Magazine to this new Slack and Teams experience, we're continuously expanding where and how your teams can access validated insights. Our focus remains on ensuring these insights are always grounded in the valuable work researchers have already done. Because ultimately, the more accessible research is, the more likely it is to inform great decisions.
