Generative AI in Condens

At Condens, we believe AI can greatly benefit UX research and want to offer it to our customers. We also take privacy seriously and want to address any concerns about how AI handles data. On this page, we'll explain how AI processes data in Condens.

Your data belongs to you

  • The data you upload to Condens belongs to you.

  • Your data is never used for training AI models or improving AI services in any way.

  • We use the AI services of our trusted cloud partners (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud) to power our AI features.

  • All data is exclusively processed in the service location you chose, i.e. the EU or the US.

  • Any data processed by AI services is only kept for the duration of the processing and discarded from the service immediately after.

You can disable generative AI feature

If you don't wish to utilize generative AI features, you can disable those features for all users in your workspace. To do so, go to Settings, then Workspace and disable the Enable generative AI features setting.

Features utilitzing generative AI

Looking ahead, generative AI is an important technology in our toolkit, enabling us to address challenges in ways that were previously unfeasible. You can anticipate its increasing application across various areas of Condens. Currently, following features utilize generative AI:

  • Automated summarization of various items, such as Highlights, Tags, Clusters and Artifacts

  • Automated clustering / affinity mapping and sentiment analysis on the Whiteboard

  • Automated Bookmarks and summaries of transcripts in Sessions

  • Automated translation of transcripts

  • Semantic search (coming soon)

AI features not utilizing generative AI

Condens includes several features powered by non-generative AI that cannot be disabled. For clarity, here are a few of them:

  • Automated transcripts

  • Tag suggestions

  • Finding similar Highlights for Tags and Clusters
