Bring Google Docs files to Condens

The Google Docs integration makes it easy to reference external text documents in Condens Artifacts and more.

By embedding Google Docs files in Condens, you can only preview your documents and not edit them.

Search results in Condens don’t include embedded Google Docs files.

Follow these steps to embed a Google Docs file in any Artifact, Session, or Project description:

In Google Docs

You don't need to share your Google Docs files publicly to embed them in Condens. However, to view the embed, Condens users must be logged into the Google Account with access to the embedded file.

  1. Open the Google Docs file you want to share.

  2. Click Share.

  3. Choose who to share your file with. If you use your work account, you can share the file with suggested recipients or with everyone across your organization.

  4. Copy the link to your file.

In Condens

  1. Select Embed Website or app and search for Google Docs:

    • In any editor (eg. in a Session, text Artifact, Project description, etc.) use the next to an empty line or type ‘/’ and search for Google Docs or select Embed website or app.

    • In any Whiteboard Artifact, click (...) the left menu bar, search for Google Docs or select Embed website or app and place it on the Whiteboard.

  2. Paste the link in the respective field on the Google Docs element.
